PC shut down any CCleaner (ALLERGY ?)

HELP !

My tabletpc (XP tablet sp2) appears free from virus and malware all appears tu run well.. but...

if i try to find CCleaner with google..... the system close Internet Explorer..

if i type www.CCleaner.... the system close Internet Explorer

if i use firefox... the same... :(

if i create a folder called CCleaner... when i try to open the folder.. Explorer will closed..

if i try tu run the installation program of CCleaner.. after the language request.. the program is closed

WHY ? somebody have the solution? all like to be an allergy to CCleaner in any form :(

Get systernal's Process explorer from the MS Site http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896653.aspx and see what is opening and closing each time you do this. I've never heard of something like this happening that's soooooo bizarre. See if it still does it in Safe Mode.

Run and live cd version of a antivirus and a rootkit revealer and make sure you don't have some sneaky fellow.

Allx1 there was a virus a while back that caused this to happen with CCleaner.

Scan and save the log and copy and paste it in the Spyware Hell part of this forum with a little description of your problem

If you have the same problem when you try to download the hjt log or it won't let you use it, still make a post in spyware hell and tell them what is happening.

also all Hijackthis related is closed from the system... i can't dowload or run hijachthis..

I will move to spyware hell... :( I hope is not a dangerous infection...

The last user had a BAGEL Worm if I recall properly.

Better to have it on your PC before you get infected. You may not be able to install any help from the Internet after you are infected.

Alix Do you have access to another computer??? Hijak this and CCleaner will run portably, this may be the way to go.

Also, esp if this is Bagel, here is a link to portible multivirus cleaner (at portablefreeware.com) it handles bagel http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=810
