Using PaleMoon v24.3.2 and have noticed images on web sites that use the HTML tags ALT and/or TITLE are not showing.
Just wondering if other PM users have noticed this bug?
not to worry, decided to drop PaleMoon and go back to Firefox.
Are you aware that 64 bit Palemoon suffers from inadequacies in the 64 bit operating system and graphics drivers,
and that often when Firefox works better it is because Firefox is only 32 bit,
and generally where 64 bit Palemoon has a problem the 32 bit version avoids that problem ?
I only use 32 bit Palemoon on my 64 bit Windows 7 and have no problem.
I have never heard about HTML tags ALT and/or TITLE,
but I guess this would be common knowledge on the Palemoon forum,
and the Palemoon developer is normally solving users problems every day.
Many simple problems are resolved within a day of posting.
Have you tried their forum ?
I am using the 32bit PaleMoon version after ditching the 64bit one due to another problem, so that's not the root cause.
It's a known problem with most browsers; for example, IE only shows the ALT tag and FF only shows the TITLE tag (or vice-versa, can't remember which doesn't do what). They may have fixed IE now but I haven't used it since IE6.
FYI: the TITLE and ALT tags are what you see when you hover your mouse over an image or hyperlink (in fact the TITLE tag is accepted as an argument for most HTML commands).
As to the PM forum, that was a joke. I tried on two separate occasions using different email address each time and never got the activation email confirming the registration, that was over a week ago now. Also tried using the "contact us" email link on their website with the same complete lack of reply.
I know it's IE that shows the ALT tag after I taught myself some HTML years ago, whereas Firefox didn't show them.
