overclocking

can you teach me on how to do this safely? the computer i'm using is using an old Intel processor Pentium 4 running @2.0ghz...i'm just wondering if it can be overclocked to about 2.66ghz..and from what I've heard overclocking produces more heat...for those who has knowledge on this one pls reply to this topic thanks in advance :D

Your best bet is to probably visit some well established overclocking websites (Google is your friend), you're bound to find useful information.

Overclocking does increase heat, so if you do, you'll have to make sure your processor's cooling is good enough, and that your processor can take it.

Ohh...make sure that your power supply can handle it...it should though....just a word of caution.
