Option: Only Delete Files In Windows Temp Folders Older Than 48 Hours

I understand that if you uncheck this option it will delete all files in C:\Windows\Temp\ regardless of age, saving you a bit of extra space by cleaning out those folders.

However, what is the disadvantage of having this option unchecked?

I would think it's a safety thing most of all webmal.

Sometimes program undates etc are put in temp files and can be applied on reboot. If you had used CCleaner inbetween, they would be gone!

Welcome to the forum :)

I appreciate the advice but if merely to be cautious of program installations that require a reboot then I believe that option is superfluous.

IMHO it's better if there is a warning about "program installations that require a reboot" instead when you click on Analyze or Run Cleaner.
