Hi Folks,
I think I know the answer to this already, but can someone confirm that CCleaner with the exception of the clean at start up option, does NOT clean unless prompted to?
I have recently run into an issue using Open Office where an application is grabbing hold of a temp file and either deleting it or holding it, such that OpenOffice can no longer save the file being edited.
The result is that the person has select all, copy and paste to a new document to keep any changes to the previous version of the document.
Thanks.
Thats right, CCleaner will not do anything unless you open it up and press run cleaner or issues.
Make sure you have the newest version of OpenOffice and if you do, try uninstalling and then reinstalling it.
Thanks... I tried something else. I tried updating to their latest "unstable" version which is supposed to have a fix for this sort of problem. However, this did not solve the problem.
I'm actually thinking that it might be McAffee because its Security Centre runs in the background and includes features that search for suspicious activity. I'm beginning to think it might be a little overly zealous, but will need to confirm.
Thanks again.
