Recently checked some files from a fairly new computer which had been protected by McAfee. AVG AntiSpyware found HotBar.exe hiding among some pictures. Out of curiosity, while in powershadow and sandboxie, I dbl clicked the file. SpywareGuard, of all things, caught it first. Attached are screenshots.

I don't know why spywareguard is hardly ever mentioned here - its one of the first programs I install, along with spywareblaster.
Its saved the day on a few occasions.

Probably because it hasn't been updated with a definition file in years. It "may still be a valid guard for Win9x systems" since some newer anti-malware software won't even run on those older OSes.
