I have Office XP Pro loaded on my computer. Through work sponsored Home Use Program I can get Office 2003 Standard on CD. I'm not sure if that is a good idea. Won't I loose some of the programs I now have? Any thoughts or suggestions.
I never used Office XP; I directly migrated from Office 2000 to 2003. I love 2003, but I miss one thing: the Office Shortcut Bar (which I believe is still in XP, but no longer in 2003). I have reinstalled the 2000 Shortcut Bar with Office 2003, and I'm happy. You may try to do the same thing if you use the Shortcut Bar.
If you are not sure if you actually want to permanently migrate to 2003, take a full system backup before installing 2003. If you don't like it, just restore your backup, and you'll be back with Office XP.
