I am finding that Chrome is not completely clearing the history on Chrome. I find that quitting chrome (I have "continue running background apps ..." in advance settings unchecked), running ccleaner and then checking chrome history by launching chrome and start entering a previous URL, Chrome offers an autocomplete. This site is not in my bookmarks.
If I then go the chrome advance settings and clear all browsing data, the autocomplete is no longer offered. So, Chrome is clearing out something the ccleaner isn't.
I have tried the sequence with reboots interspersed with no difference in the results.
