It has been almost three months since the last update. There used to be an update every month. What happened?
I am also somewhat concerned at the lack of any updates for 3 months. I realize a cleaner doesn’t require updates as often as an antivirus app but 3 months?
I suspect that they may be waiting for the official release of Edge Chrome, which should be next Tuesday/Wednesday, before releasing the next CCleaner version.
They have also been working on a few other things for the next version. (Health Check, new installer screens, etc.).
You can see what should be included in the next release, what is being worked on, what is being considered, and make your own suggestions here:
Probably better they wait to make the next release as stable as possible, and fix previous issues that have been reported on the forum.
For me as a user with several licences & PC's I maintain have bought licences, updated & additions should be done as a matter of course such as Brave etc. CCleaner was originally donation ware & can still be considered free to some degree (nagware?) , but now for many as a paid product - With due respect the developers @ Piroform (Avast) still feel updates & changes are done by a one person voluntary project & are done as an act of kindness & be thankful for them?. It's not CCleaner is a commercial product, for me at least. ?
Looks like Avast is pushing Avast Cleanup and not paying any attention on CCleaner.

There are quite a few outstanding issues with CCleaner that don't seem to be getting much attention so I can see why you have come up with that comment.

That is not the current plan, a new ccleaner should (according to what staff told us) be here the end of feb or beginning of march.

Roughly
When Avast first acquired Piriform I too wondered if it was just to merge CCleaner with Avast's Cleanup.
But as we have seen this month Avast may acquire others but let them continue in their own way. (Oop's, not us we just own them and we've shut them down now).
