no gained space

I ran ccleaner and still only have 11% free space. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Try to delete some unused application through the Add/Remove Programs in the Configuration Screen.

Juds,

1. Download and run the program called Treesize Free (Jam Software), it reveals how much space is occupied by which folder on your disk/drives.

2. Reduce the amount of space available for System Restore in Windows or switch it off for all drives.

Not perhaps a good thing to do if it is the only means of recovery a user has.

Juds, if you told us a little more here without opening two topics then maybe we could help. You appear to have unticked all the options for file cleanup.

What options have you selected in CC, if any? What does Analyse say?

Yes, what were the options you have checked on CCleaner. However, CCleaner can delete restore points but the latest one. If you want, you can delete some of the restore points namely those that were created in occasions with less system priorities such as an antivirus update. You did not even state what operating system you use. If you are using Vista, then it would be no surprise why too much space is being eaten by restore points.

As posted in your other thread.
