have ccleaner on xp pro machines and works great. recently dug out 6 yr old lap top with win98se os. installed vb6 and installed ccleaner but no default check marks in boxes nor can i add any. ?what to do. thanks,

all of a sudden it started working. don't know what i did or didn't do. thanks to those who looked in at the problem anyway.
