New Win 7 PC Question(s)

Hi,

I have been using CC for more than five years on various XP and Vista Pc's I have owned and managed at work (its great!).

Last week I bought a new HP PC (Intel Quad core, 8g of Ram, etc) with Win7 Home edition.

I started running in to hangs the second day of use - so here is what I did:

* Disabled a few unneeded start up programs (live Messenger, Win Live, etc)

* Loaded CC and did a basic scan:

got rid of 348Mg of temp stuff, etc.

Then I ran CC>Registry Check All>Scan for Issues> Analyze Here is what I got:

- 50+ Missing Shared DLL

- 10 Unused File Extension

- 1 Active X

- 75+ Installer Reference Issue

- 2 Obsolete Software

- 1 Missing Software Startup (HP Remote Access)

I decided not to run the Fix Checked Tool, but ask for help on the board --- any suggestions? Should I do a Fix All? I am not clear what I am dealing with here.

Thanks in advance

Dave

For your question about the registry, see this thread

got rid of 348Mg of temp stuff, etc.

Isn't that above the daily recommended value of temp stuff?
