New User

I am new to CCleaner so need a little help please.

I have analysed the 'Windows' section and am now confronted with a list of items which are proposed for deletion all of which are relatively small files. Among the files being proposed for deletion are such things as temproy internet files etc which I guess are safe for deletion. However some of the files are such things as Applications - Office 2003 (and 2007 and Office XP) all 38KB each & 68 files each. My question is can I safely delete these files (don't really know what they are).

Also being proposed for deletion are things like Sun Java, Adobe Flash Player etc.

Being the first time I have used this application (CCleaner) I am naturally nervous about deleting files. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

sprite8

The items it is listing are just shortcuts to the files (i.e. when it's listing something like C:\Users\sprite8\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\file.doc what it's actually listing is C:\Users\sprite8\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\file.doc.lnk)

I personally like to keep the recent file list in Microsoft Office, so I uncheck Office in the Applications tab.

However, I don't need the temp files from Java RTE or Flash Player, so I let CCleaner delete those unneeded items.
