I just downloaded the newest CCleaner update 210 slim.
I checked Registry prior to the download and there were no items mentioned.
However, after the download I checked the Registry (in CCleaner) again and there were several items mentioned.
Did anyone else notice the same thing? (I can post image of the Registry entries that were found.)
I hope I did right by deleting all of them (saving backup file).
Please advise as I am concerned about these Registry entries after the download/install of the new update for CCleaner.

#2-These additional entries found after the CC Registry Scan with the new 210 CC update just means that CC is checking for more items in the Registry now.

I have not used JV16 Power tools since they went to the paid version and I found that it did not find lots of dead registry entries and I found that RegSeeker did a much better job.

It is the paid version. And I have found them to be quite reliable.
Regardless, It seemed prudent to call this to attention in case it was an error or problem as the most recent change was an update to CCleaner. I find having both products provides that "reasonableness check". Not "accusing" CCleaner of anything, just wondering if in fact it is correct and reasonable; these entries the new version finds that the old version and the competing product do not find. That is all.
I evaluated these entries and am fairly confident that they are OK to clean out.

I wasn't sure and allowed CCleaner to backup all 33 of them it found on my system. I don't expect any ill effects, however since it's a brand new feature and listing something I haven't seen before I'll hang onto them for a little while - so far nothing has melted or blown up.

I evaluated those entries shown in my post above on my machine only and determined that those entries on my machine were probably safe to permit CCleaner to remove from my machine.

I just scanned with this latest version and it didn't find any new entries.

If you use another more aggressive registry cleaner that could be why, or if you don't install/uninstall allot of software.

I think RegSeeker is the most powerful registry cleaner i have (atleast the most powerful i USE). But i'm very careful with it. I don't remember seeing those entries AKAJohnDoe had. Did you have those same entries?

Those entries indeed seems suspicious. Suspicious in a way, that NOT very safe to delete.
Edit: How can 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings' be an OBSOLETE software key? Many programs stores settings there, including CCleaner.
I don't remember seeing those entries AKAJohnDoe had. Did you have those same entries?
