I randomly picked Skype to verify it's installed version. According to Skype itself, I have the latest version installed - 8.40.0.70. CCleaner seems to think there is a newer version - 8.41.0.54.

Software updater is doing the same thing on my Thunderbird e-mail program!
8.41.0.54.is the latest version for windows 7, 8 and 8.1

FileHippo says it is 8.41.0.54 which is where I think the Software Updater is gettings its info from perhaps.
Some software will prepare an update in the background but only apply it after you restart the software or your machine. This may explain the discrepancy.

In my case, CCleaner thinks I have Thunderbird 60.5.1 installed, but I don't.
