Just purchased and installed CCleaner 7 and after open the app and “allow this app to make changes” it does nothing. Been trying all morning. Have rebooted etc.
Don’t do it yet. CCleaner version 7 is a flop. I just ran it and lost 2 applications so far, and still looking for more damage it caused. It also destroyed my display’s aspect ratio. Circles are no longer round and squares are no longer square. Everything is stretched horizontally and I can’t find a resolution yet. I also had to create a post topic on just that. CCleaner ver. 7 certainly needs a patch or more and hopefully fast. I’ve used it for years and love it. But today, I’m hating it. And no support than a forum I did not expect to see. At least let us submit a support ticket? This may end them. I’m a MCSE and CCNE so this was totally uncalled for and due to lack of them testing it more in a controlled environment. They, like Microsoft, use the general population to discover bugs in their patches and updates. They’ve been sued for many millions over that, but they just pay them off and keep doing it. Sorry to say all this but I would recommend to NOT run it yet. Stay with version 6 if you can still get it. It works just great. Best of luck when and if you do run version 7. Make an image backup before you do it or you may regret it like I do now… dlg
Thanks for your reply and information. Im sorry for your troubles. Just uninstalled it and will wait for a patch/update.
