New Ccleaner v3.05 removed half of the functions Windows XP

Hello all!

Sorry for my bad English. I am from russia (use google translation).

I use Ccleaner for over 2 years and without thinking clean my the system and registry as it is safe. Once turned on the computer and found that half of the services not working. Long searching for in what could be the problem. It turned out that the registry delete key start the services ("DCOM Server Process Launcher" and "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)").

As we know from the service "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" depend a lot of other services.

Deleted registry keys are restored from another computer and it worked.

I asked myself what could delete these keys?

And one day running a clean registry and found that it was my Loved Ccleaner. (((

I've moved your topic to the Bug section of the forum!

Anyone know exactly what this option does?

It seemed to me to pick up services left behind from old uninstallers, but I never actually used it. Perhaps someone else can clarify my thoughts.

Hello,

Had the same thing happen to my brothers computer.

After using CCleaner the following happened :

Windows starts real slow, after the desktop shows up it takes some time for the icons to appear,

copy and paste does not work etc, outlook express is asking for a password etc...

After importing the backup reg file made by CCleaner the computer went back to "normal" mode....

If someone needs the backup reg file for whatever reason, mail me.

Greetings, Frans

If someone needs the backup reg file for whatever reason, mail me.

Bad idea, not everyone has the same system registry entries, importing from another machine could cause more harm than good.

As for the problems with CCleaner I would recommend users switch to an older version for now unless you want to trash your system.

Hello Richard,

I did not mean "go on and use this reg file".

Was more of a hint to the developers of CCleaner :-)

Frans

In the new version v3.06 of the problem now is not. It seems to fix it.

v3.06.1433 (26 Apr 2011)

- Improved "Windows Service" registry issue detection.

Ccleaner v3.06 has again become a safe clean registry. For this great thank you.

I think that the topic can be closed. Thank you all for your answers. bb all )))
