New CCkeaner interface

I see the new face of CCleaner has gone back to Exaggerating the trackers again. I CClean before I turn off my PC and then again when I turn it on and it read 64 trackers cleaned. Never got that reading with the old interface 3 days ago so what's wrong????? Give me back the old no messing about interface PLEASE

They are simply cookies. (technically 'Tracking cookies' but CC does overegg it a bit).

See this:

You can use the "old-school" way by doing this:

1. Open CCleaner.

2. Click Options.

3. Click Settings.

4. Enable/Tick: Custom Clean

Now when you open CCleaner it will default to Custom Clean instead.

If you mean that you want Easy Clean back then you can modify a registry entry (for now at least).

(Cfg)HealthCheck

Set the value to 0 and Easy Clean will come back in place of Health Check.

The usual warning - Modifying the registry could make your computer unusable, if you are not sure what you are doing then don't touch it.

Thank you for this. The new interface replacing easy clean reports that it is "unable to reach server" under the security tab. Totally unsettling. I applied the registry change and the annoying message is gone. There is nothing about this error on the forums or anything!

There are plenty of people reporting the same 'unable to reach server' error. We, moderators have flagged this for the developers; we hope to hear from them soon
