in the last few days my external hard drive began to play up and become rather slow, prior to this I made backup images of my System on this drive using EaseUSToDo Back Up Free Edition all the images where sucessfuly saved.
So my Computer was very slow, and I thought it was one of my other drives so I quick formated it, but I don't think it was, then it turned out it was the external hard drive playing up, but luckily I managed to recover my files with recuva and another piece of file recovery program.
I Checked in Event Viewer and this is the error: The device, \Device\Harddisk6\DR6, has a bad block.
But I'm still interested in weather I can recover this external drive in it's "raw status" to try and get to my disk images I created. The "Data" is still there on the drive as I quickly tested this with another piece of recovery software.
Any thoughts are most welcome.
