It is free for the one year. When it is expiring the built in License and Registration tool will allow you to buy a new license for one or more years, it's up to you how long the renewal period will be according to how much you want to spend.

Email scanning is built in for email software. If you're using a webmail account via a web browser such as Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo! Mail, etc., the resident shield will protect you.

etrust monitors inbound emails not outbound ones.(you cant see the scanner though like avg).

ok thats good.

thanks

so far ez antiirus is working very nicely. the only problem i find with it is when i start my computer up for the longest time there is an red X on the system tray icon for EZ. i click update and it says everything is up to date but then the red X goes away.

I am guessing this is not a problem just checking

I never have a red x on my etrust icon. If its updating it has a shield icon. Wait untill tomorrow and see if it gets the update.

A red X would indicate that some component needs updating "I suppose." Whatsmore to install eTrust EZ Antivirus you must have an active Internet connection since it will download additional components and the signature files.

Or the installation didn't work properly?
