need help recovering files from a harddrive

Hi,

I really hope you can help me. I need to recover files on a MyBookLive harddrive. I mistakenly deleted a folder of files on my 3TB drive that I need back. I understood Recuva could help but it won't connect to the drive on my home network. Is there some way that I can get this to work? Please help!

Kathy

Recuva, and most other recovery vectors, requires the drive to be locally available (installed-in/attached-to via external cabling) to the recovering computer. Sadly this precludes being able to recover from a Network attached storage.

Hello,

I just bought the Business Edition. On you Web-Page (https://www.piriform.com/business/recuva-business-edition) you wrote:

Comprehensive drive support: Internal, external and network drives; FAT, UDF and exFAT file systems. Whatever drive you need to recover from, Recuva Business Edition has you protected.

I need to revover a file on my WD Network Drive, too. How can I force Recuva to connect to the network drive?

Regards,

Jan

Hello, because you paid for the business edition you have a years worth of direct developer support where you have the priority over other non-paying users. It is probably best to ask them directly via your support rep.

As far as I know (though all I have is the free edition) a drive needs to be physically connected to the computer
