When nothing happened when I pressed 'uninstall' to one of my programmes, I looked around for something else to do and ended up removing registration of one of my programmes in the programme listing - How do I get it back on the list? I even tried to uninstall CCleaner and install it again, but it didn't help.

I don't think you can put it back without reinstalling the program again.
If you're still trying to uninstall it, then have a look in it's "Program Files" folder as there may be an "uninstall exe" file in there. (C:\Program Files). If so, just double click it.
If not, reinstalling the program should put it back into CCleaners list as well as Add/Remove programs.
I'm not sure if Revo Uninstaller will pick up a programs uninstaller if it's entry has been deleted, but may be worth a try.
