Abi word dosent have powerpoint or excell, but its better than the writer in open office. Thats why I have them both. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with open office's word but I just dont like it very much.

If you already have MS office your probably not going to want to want to use open office. But If your like me and the only version of office you have is 97 than you should deffinately use Open Office. Also Openoffice can be used on Macs and Linux so they can create MS office compatible doccuments as well.

Gimp was one of the apps i tried but i could not really get hang of it so give up on it, maybe ill give it a longer try. I also only use OpenOffice for the word app which i hardly use anyway but at leasts its there when i need it.
