Music On C Drive

I'm a bit puzzled as regards free space using the drive wiper, ive got a lot of music on my C drive i dont currently have any external storage to back up, what i need to know is - if i use this function will it also erase my music or not or just files ive deleted myself?

I've done a search of the forum and cant find anything specifically related to this (unless im missing something)

Cheers

Drive Wiper will on a system drive, which I assume your C drive is (system drive=drive windows is installed on) only wipe free space, space that is not occupied with files. thus your music, being files, is safe. In this case The Drive wiper acts EXACTLY like the the Wipe Free Space check mark in the ccleaner section of the program.

if (for some reason) your c drive is not the system drive, then Wipe Drive will only destroy your music files if you tell it to do a full wipe.

All of that said, there is little-to-no reason to run wipefreespace unless you are selling your hard drive

Wipe Entire Drive does not run on the system drive. What message you get I don't know as I'm not going to try it.

Something else to also consider is depending upon how big your music collection is it may be feasible to burn backups onto DVD discs, etc.

cheers folks for the replies
