More of a glitch than anything, but . . .

I'm OCD, and here are the two browsers I have installed:

SRWare Iron

Pale Moon

They seem to look exactly like Chrome and Firefox. And in fact, they are. The only difference is that Iron is faster and doesn't have all the privacy snooping that Chrome has and Pale Moon has more features on top of being speedier and slimmer than Firefox(such as removing the status bar).

The little glitch I notice in CCleaner that bugs me is that these two browsers are recognized as Chrome and Firefox. CCleaner cleans them both just fine since under the hood everything's virtually the same, but I think that something which is better and faster than a competitor shouldn't be made a synonymous product.

Edit: By the way, why is it "Firefox/Mozilla" but not "Chrome/Google"? Or do "Mozilla Firefox" and "Google Chrome".

Hi, and welcome to the forums :)

Honestly, it should be "Chromium" not "google chrome" since all of the browsers supported under that category are chromium based.

They are labeled under Mozilla and Google because both of their source codes are the former's. Pale Moon is just firefox with some code optimization for newer systems, and some nixed features (parental controls, ActiveX, etc)

Iron is a build of chrome or chromium that is derived from one of the former.

Hope that helps :)
