Currently, there are several things I would like to change about Defraggler:
- Adjustable tabs -> As Defraggler tacks on more + more tabs, please allow users to remove the ones they do not use.
- More efficient skin -> Why is it so hard for Defraggler to show more than 3 drives without scrolling, + drive space bars for each (like win 7)?
- Inline defrag -> Defraggler shows a huge page with details for a drive. Why can't it just display size/health/defrag % on the same line as the drives?
- Easier multi-drive selection -> Most users probably don't know you can highlight multiple drives for defrag. Please include checkboxes.
- Defrag multiple drives at once -> Maybe it cut it to serially defrag drives back in the 80's when PC's were dog slow, but it's far from efficient on modern PC's.
_____
Example:
_____
[ ] C: Health Good | 100GB/25GB free | 29% Fragged/67% complete defragged
[ ] D: Health Good | 100GB/25GB free | 25% Fragged/40% complete defragged
[ ] E: Health Good | 100GB/25GB free | 35% Fragged/72% complete defragged
[ ] F: Health Good | 100GB/25GB free | 11% Fragged/99% complete defragged
[ ] G: Health Good | 100GB/25GB free | 88% Fragged/23% complete defragged
_____
Defraggler should treat drives with multiple partitions as 1 drive.
_____
Example:
_____
Disk C:
Disk D:
------------------------------------------
Disk E:
Disk F:
Disk G:
------------------------------------------
Disk H:
Disk I:
Disk J:
Disk K:
_____
Where dotted line indicates grouping of partitions belonging to a single drive.
_____
I'm sure they could use inline bars showing health/disk size/frag levels.
Windows 7 uses bars for drives to show % full.
This would waste far less space in defraggler.
The current way shows details on only 1 drive at the time, while taking up the whole page to do it!
We are far from the days where users only use 1 drive at a time.
* Last Piriform outtage took pic with it, so I edited post to show what I mean using text instead.
