Microsoft Word - I never knew that

Sometimes you click on something and think ''how long has that been there?''

I had Word open and clicked on help (next to file..edit..view etc at top of the page) Then I selected 'about Microsoft Word or Works' and then the system info button.

I never knew that system info could be accessed through this program.

I assume this is in office 2003?

Microsoft Works 7 and Works 9.

Applies to either opening Works help or just the help in Word.

It's been there for a good while I think. I can't remember what it had in Word 97 though, haven't used that for nearly seven years.

Allot of programs have not yet used or found surprises, like Paint.NET for instance which has many things I've wanted without realizing it had the ability.

Yep, Word 97, there it is. Also Powerpoint and Excel 97. Who knew? B)

So, how do you like Windows 7, Hazel?

Yes we tend to overlook the obvious don't we. I would never dreamt of being able to say to someone ''you want your system info? just use Word!''

Still working out where things are, xp in lots of ways is so configurable, Win7 seems pretty with hidden depths (they are what I'm looking for at the moment!)

True, Hazelnut. The more I learn about WinWord, the more impressive it is. Starts fast, works dependably, tons of functionality, even this old version.
