I notice lately at some tech boards some newcomers arrive with a pretty simple problem(s). There's a first time for everything & everyone so I figure it's just that. But every once in a while they mention their computer specs, specs that would make NASA and MIT jealous. 64 bit Vista Ultimate, 20 terabyte hard drive, 17 gigs of ram, etc. And you know they're only using it for World Of War. And their problem is they want to know how to put pictures on MySpace.
It's like a 15 year old kid stepping out of his Lamborghini and asks you if the dark color makes his car go slower.
True to this! 20 TB, c'mon now. We all need at least 50 TB.
In all honesty, I usually refer them to google, if not charge them for help. If it's something simple, I normally charge more for their stupidity and not knowing how to use the Internet or forums.
These kids need to go out and get lives. They'll all be the next "40 year old virgins".
When I used to install High Speed connection for a cable supplier here I had the chance to install it in a home of young people that looked like the person in the picture and when I was about to test the connection one of them said I know what I'm doing and had some of the most vile pr0n on the screen in seconds that I have ever witnessed.
I looked around for the parents and asked where they were and they said At Work with a most disgusting look on their faces.
I just picked up my toolkit and my jaw from the floor and left.

Have a heart Fires, it's not so long ago you were asking questions yourself. Good job you weren't charged here for all the questions you asked
