All of a sudden McAfee Site Advisor is not working. No more check marks for safe sites or any marks at all for any search options.
I've uninstalled and re-installed and still not working.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.21
Any idea why it suddenly stopped working?
Site Advisor has been turned off by Mozilla as an unstable addon (I though it was only for 5+ but i guess not)
OT: Is there a particular reason you still use the 3.6 branch istead of 4?, 5? 6?
I upgraded To FF 6.0.1 and tried downloading Web of Trust. It goes through the process but I don't see that it down-loaded to my system.
I did a search for it but nothing came up.
Hmm . . . what could be wrong?
Never mind . . . I guess it down-loaded. I'm getting the green circle for trusted sites . . . I didn't realize what I was going to get for a symbol for a safe site.
However, when I click on ALL PROGRAMS I can't find "Web of Trust" in a search.
So I'm not quite sure what's going on. I think it downloaded but if I can't find it with a search then it's a little disconcerting.
The SiteAdvisor site isn't even always accessible, it wouldn't load for me for at least 2 days this week. I don't use the plugin for it anymore but still use a bookmark link to manually check some sites I think WOT is full of crap about.
It is what it is really. Just an extension installed into Firefox's user profile.
If it doesn't suit just uninstall it from "Firefox\Tools\Add ons" ...
