May be a bug

Hi.I´m using the latest verison of Ccleaner under Windows 8 Release Preview.I don´t know if it is a bug, but when I start the program, and go under TOOLS > UNINSTALL, there are some programs installed, but they don´t show the icons.I uninstalled the program with Revo uninstaller, but after a fresh install, the problem with the icons is still the same. Can it be a bug, because under Windows 8 consumer Preview I didn´t have this problem.

Windows 7 shows all application icons via

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features

Does your Windows 8 have the same capability, perhaps via a different route ?

If Windows 8 cannot show icons then CCleaner has no hope of seeing them.

Perhaps you Apps are not yet compatible with your Win 8

Nobody else has ever reported that bug to my knowledge so hopefully it's just that Win8 CP isn't a finished version. However the CCleaner developers and bug fixers do read the topics so perhaps they'll know more about it.

What is "the program" you uninstalled with Revo uninstaller and reinstalled :-

CCleaner.exe ?

not one but ALL the programs without icons ?

or Windows 8 Release Preview ?

N.B. The FREE version of Revo uninstaller is not rated for removal of 64 bit applications from Windows XP and upwards.

Even the Professional Revo may fail to function on your 64 bit Windows 8 Release Preview.

Support for Windows 8 Release Preview is scheduled for next release.

Thanks
