Macrium Reflect and Windows 10 Anniversary Update

since getting the latest Win10 update, Macrium now hangs.

tried twice, hung at 11%, then after a reboot, at 6%.

no updates available from Macrium (as yet).

any other Macrium users seeing similar results???

I wonder if installing Macrium over the pre-existing version would fix anything.

OK, thanks for the link.

even though I don't have scheduled Reflect events, there is obviously something with MS and Macrium no longer playing nice.

I'll wait for the next update from Macrium...

@andavari - tried an over-the-top reinstall, no luck.

From Macrium:

When I arrive in the office tomorrow I will look into the reported issue with scheduling and Windows 10's anniversary update.

Kind regards

any of the forums Reflect users got it to work under Win10 v1607 yet?

I just installed Macrium's latest v6.2.1502 patch and it still hangs when cloning or imaging.

Yes. The issue here was probably different. Here, Avast quarantined the Macrium update installer file.

But I did finally get Macrium ver. 6.2.1502 to make an image of Win10 v1607.

Verified the image but did not try to restore it.

I'm using a paid version, don't know if that makes a difference.

edit: I remember that I had to restart 3 times before the Avast tray icon became normal.

A post about it here

yeah, I've got the paid version as well, so that's not it.

I realised at the same time as Win10 upgraded, I also upgraded my nearly 3yo 120gig SSD to a 240gig, so I'm thinking that could be the problem instead of Macrium.

anyways, off to Macrium Support for, well, support.

very long story short, turns out it was the 4yo HDD where the images were being saved to.

the release of Win10 Anniversary and my replacing the system SSD 2 days prior was just bad timing and a nice red herring to chase down.

Macrium working again and I don't feel so naked and exposed now.

Coincidence is a b!tch :)
