Lost my D drive in Computer

Dear all,

after using CCleaner I lost my D drive which contained all my data. what should I do now?

By "using ccleaner" what do you mean? Using the cleaner section? Using the registry section? Trying to wipe a drive (either freespace or full wipe)?

By "lost" your drive what do you mean? Does Windows disk management control panel see it? Does BIOS see it?

Plus, doesn't CC only access the drive it is run from?

So it should not have 'cleaned' D:\ if it was installed onto C:\

Did you use INCLUDEs, Winapp2.ini or any other enhancements?

Plus, doesn't CC only access the drive it is run from?
In short, no this is not correct information

OK, my mistake, care to enlighten me...

Ccleaner only finds programs in their hardcoded location (i.e. program files directory, windows folder, appdata) but (as it can be run portably) ccleaner does not need to be run from the drive that those locations are on. as well, includes/excludes and winapp2 entries can be on any drive.

I was aware of the includes, winapp2 stuff, that's why I mentioned so in my post.

I did however forget about CC running portably. :)
