After running Ccleaner I have to reset all my folders on my Desktop. I have them on List but revert to Details, Icons, or Thumbnails. To get them on the same page, I have to reset about 4 or 5 of the Folder Options in the View tab. What do I need to uncheck on my list of WINDOWS list. I have all checked except Menu Order Cache and Wipe Free Space. Thanks
Uncheck "Custom Files and Folders" and "Windows Size/Location Cache".
Do not check things you do not understand.
Link from CCleaner help that explains what each option in the "Advanced" section of CCleaner does: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-rules/windows-tab/advanced-windows-files
Uncheck "Custom Files and Folders"
Custom Files and Folders would have absolutely nothing to do with folder settings unless someone inputted folder.ini files, registry locations, etc., which seems unlikely. There is a "bug/limitation" in at least some XP systems where it will very quickly forget folder settings - it's super annoying too.
