I have a license for CC Pro Plus on three computers. It expires Monday, August 11, 2025. For the past few weeks, every time I open CC, it shows an advertisement for using CC Free. No recognition at all of the user license that is so prominently displayed every time CC is opened.
What I wonder, since my email address has changed since last renewal: will I even be able to renew? CC has such odd (non-existent) Customer Service and “help” options, I’m wondering whether it is time to start looking for replacement app.
If you no longer have access to the email that you used to purchase CCleaner then you should tell them that and give your new email so that can be registered.
You should send the change request from the old email if you still have access to it.
For security you will need to give both the old and new email addresses.
The accounts and licencing systems recognise customers by their email address, if yours has changed (or if you use a different one) then if/when you try to contact them about anything the systems will no longer recognise you as a paying customer.
That can cause problems.
To get your registered email changed you can raise a support ticket by using the form here: CCleaner Support Community
NOTE - If the email you use when sending the form is not showing as registered to a current valid licence then you will not be seen as someone who has (currently) paid for support.
As an apparent ‘non-payer request’ your request will be non-priority and it may be a very long time (month or more) before the system even shows your request to a support person.
