I use Seamonkey for my mail. In this last build I must now close down Seamonkey before CCleaner will clean it. It was never like that on previous builds. Am I doing something wrong?
thanks

Typically,
Most programs need to be closed in order for programs to edit/delete such things as temporary files because they might be used by the program while it's still open. I would say that's normal. But I'd love to hear someone else's opinion that knows more.

Thanks Keith,
Yes I get what your talkin about. Just that I've always had Seamonkey in the task bar (next to clock) Guess this build must not have it running at all.

It's from an old issue with having Mozilla-based browsers running whilst cleaning them. It would cause rather obvious issues in Firefox, hence the browsers need to be fully closed before cleaning.
Although you won't get any warnings the same practice should really be used when cleaning other programs that can normally be closed too hence; you'll never really know for sure what will happen when cleaning them when they're running.
Thanks for the replies. Used ccleaner for quite a while, excellent program.
