Laptop shuts down using ccleaner

I am unable to use ccleaner as the laptop shuts down when trying to analyze the registry files. I think i have a virus causing this.

I backed up my registry using ERUNT.

Unable to run SYSRestorePoint.exe from the desktop, it crashes.

Next steps?

Carry out as much as you can of the procedures outlined in that link, and then post your results in the Spyware Hell section of the forum.

No worries with anything you can't do. Just post that fact into a new thread in Spyware Hell, and the Spyware Moderator will take it from there.

I figured out why I was getting the BSOD on my Dell Inspiron 1200.....bad memory....ran a test, bad, and replaced memory under lifetime warranty with 18004memory.com Installed memory, ran test, passed, installed CCleaner and ran.....no BSOD.....ALL Good!!! :)

Well it's rare to get feedback about a problem almost 2 years later.
