Javascript error

Have tried numerous times to download CCleaner but each time get a "failed - javascript resource" error message. This is the only place I see that error.

Help!

Are you using IE??

Try downloading from the Piriform website, or from Filehippo.

I've tried through IE and through Firefox.....in both cases, javascript is enabled. ?????

I've tried downloading directly through those sites....they're where I get the "failed- javascript resource" error message. Javascript is enabled from my end...in IE and in FIrefox.....

Something to try is delete your browser Temporary Internet Files ("cache"), then try to download it from some other legit download websites such as http://www.softpedia.com/, http://download.cnet.com/, http://www.majorgeeks.com/, http://fileforum.betanews.com/, http://www.snapfiles.com/, etc., just to name a few.

This is very odd, you don't need Java Script to download files.

Are you running any Anti-Virus software with web content filtering??

Go to the download page again and then disable Java Script, can you still download??

Correct, I just tried it. It does sound like something is being filtered either by some anti-malware/anti-virus or some firewall software.

Here is a direct hot-link to the Standard Build, note it includes the Google Toolbar and/or Google Chrome Browser which you can untick during install if you don't want them (if I should not post a hot-link I'm sure an Admin will tell me off):

Well, I appreciate all the attempts to help....tried most, but computer crashed three days ago....am waiting for it to be returned. Never did find out what happened...whether it was CCleaner or something else. :-(

It could've been malware related since some malware won't let certain disk cleaning tools like CCleaner, etc., be downloaded since they after all delete files malware may use in the Temp folders.
