I forgot to take my files off of the memory card as I formatted it within my camera. So obviously my video files are gone (mp4) However, I have not used my camera since the formatting took place. I expected to at least be able to pull up some broken files or even images from today's shoot...but nothing...I start Recuva, click all files, select on my media card or ipod, then wait and nothing comes up. I do the same thing again except i select the specific location of the memory card, but get nothing. Can anyone help? I have a Dell M3800 i7 16gb ram 1 tb space if that matters, and i am running the free version. i planned to buy the paid version if something came up at least.
the paid for version will give you no better recovery options or success than the free version.
also, in case it helps, what is your camera and memory card details?
and when you state "images from today's shoot", were they done after the format?
Are you running a deep scan? A normal scan should show nothing except system files.
