Is Slimware/Driver UUpdate, part of the Piriform package?

I've been getting annoying"Popups", for lack of a better word, since I bought the CCleaner Professional package. I've gotten a screen asking me to update Slimware/Driver Update and I was getting updates for some gamer control, which I never use. Any suggestions what I can do? Thanks

this is not ccleaner. its a competitor -> slimware

perhaps you have installed "slimdrivers" or somethings similar

try to look in the "uninstall" section of ccleaner and looking for "slimware/driverupdate" and if you want -> uninstall "slimware/driverupdate" or similar

after an restart look at the "startup" if there is some kind of "slimware..."

Try ADWcleaner from Malwarebytes, its good at getting rid of that annoying Adware. (Note it's not a rival of CCleaner - they do totally different jobs).

Malwarebytes itself can also remove some Adware alongside it's usual malware protection.

It does it differently from ADWcleaner, so may be worth a go if ADW doesn't get rid of the stuff.

slimware utilities is a rival of piriform/ccleaner since years ago -> driverupdate is only another tool from there as for example recuva or defraggler from piriform

https://slimware.com/slimcleaner

be careful with this - i dont know if this tool work fine now but in the past it did not so good. wrong driver for the wrong chipset you know... and then strained nerves and unnecessary work after a wrong installed driver...

You read/quoted me wrong trium,

I was saying that ADWcleaner was not a rival, despite them both having '...cleaner' in their names they are do widely different things.
