Hello, i like the wipe free space feature on the newer versions of CCleaner, but ive used it only on my C: Drive, i was wondering if it would be safe to Change the settings to allow wipe free space to also run through my Recovery D: Drive.
i have been using CCleaner for about two years but i need more knowledge on the Wipe Free Space Option.
Wiping free space is kind of like deleting deleted items again and again till they are really gone. (Ie recuva and other programs shouldn't be able to restore the files)
As for using it on your "d:" drive, you could/should be able to, but being a recovery drive I'd leave it alone.

Exactly, and probably a waste of time.
It really wouldn't be of much use to use it on a recovery drive/partition as that's simply for recovery operations and shouldn't have any user created files/documents on it that pertain to any privacy data that needs securely wiped.
