Is it safe to check the Advanced checkbox under the Windows tab?

Can anything go wrong if the Cleaner cleans that?

Best have a really good read here, as to what advanced options do (under cleaner information)

As a general rule if you need to ask if it's okay, perhaps you ought to wait a while 'til you have found out more info.

I only have Old Prefetch Data, User Assist History, and Custom Files and Folders ticked under Advanced. I think that some of the others clear out just too much for me, passwords, folder view options, etc. The 'dangerous' ones give a warning when you tick them.

I should be more wary of registry cleaning until you are more familiar with CC, and then go softly!

Hello kensync,

Please follow the advice given by both hazelnut and Augeas .

If you are asking questions about these options it is time for you to do some research before trying any of them.Make sure you understand what they do.

Here are links explaining two of them. You "search" the forum or Google for the others.

Using these Advanced options do not give you back much space at all. They are just options made available for those who know what they are doing.

Now, you get to work. You get the idea.If you don't plan to be a "techie" then I advise you to leave these options alone.

Good Luck,

P.S. Your Dad has trained you to be careful and think and study and ask questions. So always follow what Dad says.I hope you got your "chess game" .And of course, you should always come back and ask more questions to make sure you have the right idea before trying some of these options. We just want to make sure users do their homework before trying some Advanced options and tools.
