The CCleaner home page <here> and download page <here> both say the latest CCleaner “runs on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, and 7, including both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions”.
The support article CCleaner for Windows system requirements also says “CCleaner works on Windows 11 to 7” and recommends the “Sunset” edition for Windows XP or Vista users.
However, hazelnut’s 20-Dec-2025 post in anthoniusii’s Is there a new version for Windows 7 x64 Ultimate? says “Version 7 requires Windows 8.1 or newer”. I assume hazelnut is correct, given that the name for the current “Sunset” installer is ccsetup641_win7.exe.

I was going to direct my original question about CCleaner v7.x system requirements to @Laurence_CCleaner but I have no idea if @ mentions only work for Forum Moderators.
@ works for all members which admin is a part. I have been reporting other 1 year out of date pages that should have been ready to go the day 7 launched. most pages and faqs (I think they fixed that) were outdated months after release, sales pages mentioning SELLING POINTS not in 7 (yet?). It’s kinda shabby.
@hazelnut yeah as @lmacri mentioned in their other thread the builds pages in general is a mess of not found and 6.40
Hi All,
Thanks for flagging these pages.
I have requested that they be updated to remove the reference to Windows 7 which is not supported by CCleaner 7.
