Internet Explorer Favorites

I love CCleaner. Nothing else I have tried does as good a job. BUT it does one thing I would like to NOT have it do but cannot figure out how to stop it. I arrange my FAVORITES in IE in a specific order (NOT alphbetized). But after I run CCleaner, they are re-arranged, alphabetically. Is there a solution? I searched the forum, and could not find any discussion of this question. brunke

Hi brunke :)

I'm not sure if CCleaner is doing the rearranging, however I had the same problem.

What I did was categorize my favorites into different folders, and named the folders with a number before the folder name: 1-name, 2-name etc...

You can put as many favorites as you like in any folder.

I already do that, but within each folder I also rearrange favorites. I suspect that IE keeps a file that maps the favorites in each folder, and CCleaner deletes this file. If I knew which one it is, I would delete it from the list that CCleaner deletes!!

Menu Order Cache will clear the order in which Favorites are displayed. I don't know if any other selections also do so.
