I'm trying to install CCleaner on my notebook but, even in SafeMode, the process stops closing all windows without any message.

I suspect that the system is infected but no virus is found by AVG.

Any suggestion?

First question is where did you download CCleaner from? CCleaner or FileHippo? ;)

If this problem is still occurring then you should follow the instructions in this link.

Others that had this problem were infected. These steps will result in verifying a malware problem, removing it and most importantly fixing the damage that has been done.

Thanks to all but I've solved ... radically ... using the recovery disk: now CCleaner is correctly installed. :D
