Install question

CCleaner for Windows

I just installed CC Cleaner and wasn't paying a lot of attention at the beginning. As I was clicking the Install button, I noticed there appeared to be another software that was being installed along with CC Cleaner. I allowed things to install, then performed an uninstall. Then tried reinstalling again. But this time through, there seemed to be no indication of the additional software. So I'm more than a bit concerned.

Probably the Avast offer.

Don't do a restart.

Don't (left) click on any new Avast icon on your desktop.

If you have got a new icon then RIGHT click on it and look in the Properties where that icon is pointing to, go to there in file explorer and delete the files.

If that advice is too late, or once you've done that, look on here for 'unwanted Avast install.'
