install goes no further after pressing next on additional options screen

hello,

I am running windows 8.1 pro on my machine. ever since installing windows from scratch, i have been unable to install Ccleaner and i have had to rely on the portable version for now. this is not my first time installing windows from scratch and i have had it working on windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. my hardware has it changed. the title above says it all. please can someone help me with this? I have tried installing into multiple different directory's all to no avail.

perhaps your AV software is blocking CC due to the embedded Chrome offerings in the normal build.

try the Slim build and see if that progresses to completion.
