"Include directory" options

Hello.

I would like to know if there is a quicker way to "include" directories in the cleaning procedure.

To add a directory, it's compulsory to start from the disks root and browse into Documents & Settings, etc up to the Internet Temp Files and add, one at a time, each one.

Sometimes I have to browse through up to 14 directories!

As I suppose there is no way to make the add option open in the last directory opened...

Do you have any suggestion to make it easier?

You could manually edit the CCleaner.ini file to say

Include1=ect

include2=ect

and copy paste the paths.

Agree - I found that I had to add quite a few directories with the "Include" button (Win XP, SP2):

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache\*.*

C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\ERRORREP\*.*

C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\DataColl\*.*

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\*.*

etc ...

These clean out snapshots and updates ...

Question: is there some way to find out what CCleaner cleans by default?

Tnx

Please see this thread

Many thanks!

Question:

What happens if I have done a "custom" install and have changed any of the data directories?

Then you'll have to manually add the directories, CCleaner only supports the default install locations.

OK - thanks for the clarification.

Now, if I could only remember which appliications I had customized... ;)

Also when doing the manually customized apps it may be better to make a winapp2 for them (the file not the above poster ;) )
