I'm losing .bak files

I am losing *.bak files I really don't want to in most cases. I went to "Exceptions", but it won't let me protect all .bak files...it wants either a whole folder, or a specific file. I wanted to backup a copy of my wpa.dbl and wpa.bak in Windows System32 folder...but bad news: CCleaner has already deleted the wpa.bak file! Any suggestions? Am I missing another location in tools/options to prevent CCleaner from deleting *.bak files? TIA

By default to my knowledge CCleaner doesn't go after .bak files, unless you're using some winapp2.ini entries that are doing it.

Other cleaning programs however like EasyCleaner, etc., do go after .bak files. Or course not all .bak files are safe to delete.
