Can you say which version of ccleaner you are using.

Also which operating system you use.

Has this just started happening?

I've installed Vista Home Premium on the laptop and there is no more problems.

I've installed Vista Home Premium on the laptop and there is no more problems.

Your brave...vista is usually a minefield of problems haha good luck!

Vista is usually a minefield of problems?

I don't think!

I have had 3 Vista laptops and 2 Vista desktops in my house. My daughter started using a Vista laptop when she was 13, she is 15 now, she uses it to the max, facebooking, myspace'ing, msn'ing, photoshopping and anything else she needs to do (all at the same time). My sons are both gamers and use theirs for such purposes as well as for the reasons that my daughter uses hers.

Most people that bash Vista are doing so because they think it is the done thing and is cool. I am different, my laptop that I take to work to play on when time permits is running Vista and has never caused me a problem.

Maybe it is the old ID10T error that causes people to find problems with Vista.

Sure it is slow compared to XP, but that does not mean it is a problem, it still performs!

Exactly, Cap.

To be honest, when I was using XP, I hated Vista too (because everyone hated it )

But, I just got a new laptop, and installed SP2, and applied many tweaks, and I can swear on a pack of Ferro Rocher it is faster than XP

I too agree with Capman

My old machine has XP Home SP3 with a modest (intel pentium duel core processor & 1GB of RAM) it performs very well, however... I dont think my old machine would be up to running Vista at an acceptable pace

My new machine has Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP2 with an (intel core2 quad processor & 4GB DDR3 RAM) it's at least twice as fast to boot up, and easily out performs my old XP machine :P

Vista is different, and takes time to adjust too ;)
