I'm trying to recover a lot of files from a hard drive that claims to be blank, I know for a fact there is over 200gb of files on board and can see it only when I use recover software.
I've used recuva before so I bought the professional to deal with this big task (and for the bundled other software).
Basically, I deep scanned the drive for 19 hours and ended up with this:
That was pretty infuriating.
Here's what my options look like:
So I'm out of ideas, could someone help me un-ignore these 120,000 files in a way that would spare me another 24 hours?
Do you have any search criteria in the File/Path box, or are you specifying a particular file type? If so, get rid of it. You can do this whilst you still have the results of your scan displayed, and with a bit of luck the ignored files will be shown. Otherwise it's a new scan.
This seems to be a HUGE Problem for Recuva. I have the same problem. I have seen many Forums discuss this over the last 5 years without a finite result.
I'm trying to recover video files accidentally deleted. I tried Recuva Free and it produced a 'mish mash' of two - three second files. Occasionally the odd frame of what I was searching for.
I thought, like everyone else, get the Professional Recuva it has to be better. After 20 x 15 minutes searches of a small SD Card (15 gb) alI I keep getting "62 files ignored" and nothing else. I have changed the settings and done it over and over again and cleared the path file as well. I am sure the 62 ignored files is what I'm looking for.
You can imagine how I am feeling. I have purchased many Piliform Products over the years and this is the most disappointing. I'm beginning to think I made the wrong choice.
